Sierra Fish Plants in Eastern Waters Continue

Following an enormous loss in fish at three hatchery facilities in the western Sierra and Southern Colorado this summer, the Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has applied a current selling approach to keep putting trout in to seas which are popular with anglers.

"Euthanization was not the results we wished for, but after exhausting all solutions, it had been evident that cleaning the raceways, sterilizing the facilities and starting around was the only real selection," claimed Jay Rowan, CDFW's Statewide Hatchery Plan Manager.
